Jason Vale really is the juice master!

I have always loved a good smoothie or freshly squeezed fruit. When I began to try different concoctions at home they never had the right balance. Jason's book really does 'keep it simple' and healthy. He's obviously spent a lot of time looking at the balance of different fruits, how they taste together and what benefit they have to your body. I haven't tried one in the book that isn't absolutely delicious though I still have quite a few to go. They are healthy, refreshing and filling. He's got a great 3 day Detox in the book also along with many other recipes which adults (and children) will enjoy. The Detox is great on days when you're feeling kind of heavy and want a break from your daily meals. I always lose a couple of pounds when I do the 3 Day Detox. One thing I will say is you don't just need a juicer for Jason's smoothies...many of the recipes have ice, yoghurt and softer fruits like berries, bananas and avocado which you cannot put through the juicer, so you do require a blender also in many of the drinks as a 'stage 2' to mix all of the ingredients together (however this is standard for all smoothie recipes). I have a Phillips Juicer [...]and a Russell Hobbs 14500 Platinum Blender and I'm really happy with both, though the blender is very tall! Clean-up is really quick with both of these products. It usually takes me 5 minutes to make one of Jason's smoothies/juices, 5 minutes to clean up and rinse the blender and juicer and then I relax and drink. They're also great on the go. Before work I'll often make one, pour it into a thermos and drink it when I get to work. It makes a really refreshing start to the day!

This is all about fruit it seems.

Being my first book about juicing I was a little disappointed. It was mostly if not all about fruit juices and smoothies. I was looking for more a a veggie type juice. This is not it. This guy is so excited on his youtube demonstrations I felt I had to get it.

I saw a post of on Facebook of a poem from this book written by Michael Reid and I had just had to find more of his stuff. Lucky for me he had a book! Dear Mr. Reid at first I felt a little taken back by a man saying some of these things. But you always explained yourself and I was able to understand that you have a lot of wisdom and knowledge on what it is to be a woman. Thank you for writing this book. It was very inspirational. I plan to read it again, especially the poetry. So people read it, definitely give it a try. You won't regret it.

I was first turned to this book from a picture on Twitter, it was a picture of one of the pages, and that picture alone spoke to me in so many ways that I had to give he book a chance. I am so happy that I did, this book provoked so many thoughts that I have had but never dared to articulate. There are also many poems that I believe that I was in denial about some of the things that Mike talks about in Dear Woman. I did realize how much that I related to everything he was saying, he truly inspired me to be a better stronger woman for the future. Mike spoke directly to my heart and I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a little truth and inspiration in their life.

Touching and Sweet, But Not Realistic

This was a sweet, touching read. Lets first start off with the characters’ names, so unique and refreshing for a novel. I love names that are different but simple enough for me to pronounce. So the main character, Kyra struggles with depression and as a result of depression, she copes by cutting. Now from the perspective of cutting and depression, Meg Collett hit the emotions and feelings that go along with these directly on the head. Her descriptions are accurate and prefect. That being said, it really bothered me that Kyra moved to a new area and didn’t take the initiative to find a new therapist seriously. She just kept putting it off, and putting it off.

Then there is the mysterious, sexy Hale Cooper. Kyra seems to have no relationship experience and minimal intimacy experience, but she willingly throws herself into Hale and quickly loses her virginity to him. This was a red flag for me, instead of focusing on therapy, she decides to focus on a man. Another major concern is every tie there is intimacy…it seems to be unprotected. The entire book is building up to this monumental moment, which you can probably predict and then comes the light epilogue that leaves you with a smile on your face. So mixed feelings leave this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars for me.

ANOTHER HIT FOR MEG COLLETT

WOW!! What can I say, Meg Collett hit another home run with this books. Kyra is a young lady who is dealing with depression and moves away from her aunt and uncle who raised her when she buys her old family home. The house needs a lot of work and we meet Hale, such a cheery fella, who is hired to fix up the house. We also meet the cast of characters in her neighborhood from Stevie who becomes a great friend (so hope she gets her own story) to the neighborhood busy bodies to her estranged family. The author weaves a story of a young lady dealing with an illness while trying not to show it to the world and find out about her mom from items found in the house. While doing this she makes wonderful friends and starts to fall in love. I laughed and cried while reading this and fell in love with her characters. You'll be missing a great story if you don't read it and be prepared not to be able to put it down once you start

A novel you can get completely lost in.

I'd red Meg Collet's previous books and fell in love with her style. While Fakers carries a completely different tone, the writing itself still screams Meg Collett, and that's a good thing! It never fails to amaze me how much life and love goes into building ALL of the characters in her books, not just the main characters. Even minor characters with brief roles display a depth of emotion that we can all relate to on some level. Fakers follows the true form of Romance novels in general, but it's easy to get swept away in the very real issues that the main character experiences. There's nothing like a novel you can get completely lost in, and Fakers is one of those novels, one I could see myself reading again and again. Thanks, Meg! Keep 'em coming. ;)

Glen Ballou is a graduate of General Motors Institute, now Kettering University, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Electrical Engineering. He has been a Syn-Aud-Con representative, has served as governor, convention chairman, papers chairman, and facilities chairman of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), and has been a member for the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). He has been a contributor to S&VC, Sound and Communications, and Church Production magazine on a variety of subjects. Glen also wrote the chapter on capacitors and inductors for the CRC Press publication The Electrical Engineering Handbook. Glen is owner of Innovative Communications, a company that specializes in room acoustics and sound system design.

Technical Handbook for Audio Professionals

This is a handbook for audio engineers and professionals in the field. It has sections on acoustics, microphones, speaker types & placement, audio amplifiers and their technologies, mixers, and professional recording. This handbook isn't really created for the layman - there are no cut and tried easy answers. But if you are a professional in the field or have a serious interest in sound reproduction this book is a great technical reference. The information is generally clear and free from non-technical platitudes and instead concentrates on what is measureable and scientific.

Really was a good story! So much detail and love the characters. Didn't like those spoiled rich girls she was hanging with and was scary at times! Great job can't wait to read what happens next

Don't waste your money

This book is another one of those "what's going on?" deals where the protagonist is left in the dark despite everyone else (including the reader) knowing the general premise. It didn't even make sense. You're in dangerous situations and could be hurting people? Better not tell you what's happening because your mother who hasn't experienced this and is currently on another continent says so, and it's a convenient plot point. Nobody would act like that! Especially since she makes other parenting decisions no problem.

The character relationships are pretty bad, as well, and the author relies on her being "attracted" to these people.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 (the minimum) is because it wasn't as terribly written as some of the other self-published books out there. This says more about the crap I've read than the quality of this story.

Thoroughly engaging!!!

I really enjoyed this read. Characters, dialogue and story line were interesting and believable without being predictable. The take on the subject, werewolves, is different, in that it explores both good and evil sides. While it is a 'young adult' book, I think most any age (I'm 47) would enjoy the journey of Alexis as she finds that some monsters are real and not quite what the fairy tales would have you believe. It is a fun, fast read that has left me curious about what is yet to come in this series. Bravo Suzanne, I hope book two is double the trouble for your characters!;)
