One of SI's best books in years!

This is an amazing coffe-table sized book that is sure to start arguments among friends. The Top Ten lists in every category are sure to be topics of many conversations among football diehards. Is Montana really the best QB and why don't we find Franco Harris among the best RB's? Just two of the many questions I had after a first glance. I'm thinking I'll spend many hours with this book, comparing my opinions with some of the best writers in the world. The photography (as always) is as good as it gets. Buy the book for someone this Christmas and I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

My daughter, who is a Special Needs has been a huge Sports lover for Football, baseball, hockey and basketball. Her top priority has been Football. In 34 years, she has been a huge fan for the New York Giants, and other teams. She has collected Football cards for years, and follows most games, now teaching me as she did her grandfather. After receiving this book as a gift, she reads it everyday, and absolutely loves it as it became addictive. "FOOTBALL'S GREATEST" is a big hit for quality time with friends and family, and a wonderful conversational starter for social gatherings with Football fans. This entertaining, fun-filled book is 288 pages of pure joy, with many interesting topics for conversations and arguments! In addition, it offers questions and answers, is packed with sports information and facts, and delivers stunning photos. Along with her football-card collection for several years, and going to Football games, this amazing book is simply another treasure. She found it as much fun as being on a little league team when young. Also, she enjoys watching football games on TV, while looking through the book. The smile of happiness on her face is Priceless. Highly Recommended for all Football lovers!

Excellent coffee table book, perfect for fans young and old.

I bought this book to give as a present. I began reading it before I wrapped it, to ensure my cousin would enjoy it, and ended up buying another one for myself so I could finish it! It is an enjoyable several hours of reading with many comparisons and lists, excellent pictures, and good stories. Note before you buy that the book is quite large. That said, this is a must have for any NFL fan.

The best self-help writing

Adam Khan is one of the best writers of self-help material I've come across. His writing is clear, gets to the point, and is fun to read. More importantly, the material in these books can help make you feel better about yourself and the world you live in. It's not about tricks and magical thinking; he relies on cognitive therapy techniques and solid scientific research (see books by Dr. David Burns and Aaron T. Beck for examples). Mr. Khan's work is of value whether he's talking about positive thinking or the benefits of meditation. Check out his Moodraiser.com blog if you want to see more examples.

This particular book, Viewfinder, is about changing your mental habits in response to stress and unfortunate events. The concepts, like reframing situations with a different inner narrative, sound simple on the surface of it, but the stories and examples he brings forth to illustrate the points and advice are very engaging. His examples range from stories about the successes and defeats of George Washington to the insights gained from the psychiatrist and Nazi concentration camp survivor, Victor Frankl (see his book "Man's Search for Meaning").

Great Investment! DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY!

This book is such a great resource for anyone looking at getting into any sort of biological field, psychology or not! It is so rich in information and communicated in an easily understandable way. I bought this book for a class thinking I would sell it when I was done but it will be officially added to my library at the end of my summer school session. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY! This text has been the backbone to my "A" in my BioPsych class at UB.

Must for kids if they like to solve puzzles and are taking some form of talented program at school. Very good challenge in interactive and useful format. It is possible that kids may not be able to finish all pages but can attach as they grow and their vocab increases.

This is truly the way.. I started something new a few weeks ago which was just letting go and expecting good things from day to day. I am a big believer in the law of attraction but for some reason have never had a lot of success with it.. So I decided on keeping it simple and just going with the flow.. I decided to just work on expecting the best to happen to me and using simple affirmations to keep my mind straight with what I wanted to happen..One of my affirmations i said to myself was " everyday in every way my limiting beliefs keep fading away".. Direction that fits me.

I have been practicing LOA for several years and there were aspects of it that didn't fit me, my personality, and my beliefs. I've gotten great info but never that "YES, THAT'S IT", until Richard Dotts. He has written what I've been questioning, and giving the why and how. Most of what he's referenced I've read and tried to follow, ending up where he's been. LOA works but it's not one size fits all. If you're not a visualizer, affirmation repeater then his books are for you. YES THIS IS IT!

Okay, so I do think this book needs to be revised for 2002, as it is a few years old and times have changed (mostly regarding funding and approaches), but as for a book of basic principles I was extremely impressed. Being a new-comer to the industry this book covers many aspects of operating a bar that a business owner should know, or at least pay attention to. If more people ran their bars utilizing some of the points in this book there would be better places to go and work... which is okay for me since no one in my town seems to know how to run a real bar/lounge...
